Are you one of those people who think green drinks are fad and disgusting?
Well, I used to be one of them until not too long ago. But guess what? I was totally wrong!
Green drinks are not just healthy and packed with lots of vitamins and nutrients good for your body, but they can actually be pretty tasty, too! Green smoothies can easily replace your breakfast, all while making you feel the satisfaction of doing something good for your body (and don’t forget the calories you save by doing so, which helps when trying to lose weight).
The green smoothie that I have created this morning, and I am going to share with you today, is guaranteed to sooth your digestive system and leave you feeling great and proud you didn’t give in to that boring bowl of cereal or even worse, that tempting and unhealthy muffin (unless you chose to make my Healthy-Zesty Guilt-free Muffin). The ingredients used all have some known anti-inflammatory benefits and help with healing your Gut, which is paramount to restoring your energy and health! And once you have that, everything else simply flows into your life effortlessly!
So, without further ado, here is my new Morning Glory Green Smoothie Recipe!
Ingredients
1 banana (soothes the stomach)
½ to 1 cup fresh papaya (helps with digestion due to its high content of digestive enzymes)
1 cup spinach & arugula mix (or any other greens, like kale or collard greens)
2 tbs collagen protein (this is good for your gut,skin and joints, but can be replaced with any other plant base protein)
1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
4 slices of fresh ginger (reduces inflammation and helps digestion)
3 slices of fresh turmeric (most potent herb out there; reduces inflammation; can use half of teaspoon turmeric powder instead)
½ cup crushed ice
Mix all ingredients in a blender and enjoy in a cocktail glass to feel even more special! What a healthy and delicious treat!
