If you are looking for a guilt-free, healthy version of your old time favorite dessert, look no further!
We all know that even the most health-conscious of us give in to sweet temptations once in a while… And that’s ok… As long as we don’t overdo it or even worse, guilt trip ourselves!
But why can’t we just enjoy a rich dessert without the guilt or side effects that come with one?
That’s why I call these brownies GUILT-FREE!
They are completely flourless, and as you can imagine gluten-free, dairy free, low in carbs and overall calories but full of needed protein that leaves us feeling energized, satisfied and guilt-free!! What could be better that that?
Well, nothing really other than these brownies!☺
But don’t take my word for it… give it a try! It takes less than 10 minutes to whip together but it brings on so much joy… Especially to your dear ones who will think that you are really spoiling them… My daughter was so impressed she thought I gave up the healthy eating habit all together…(not sure if that’s good or bad)☺
Ingredients:
2 eggs
1 cup cashew butter
½ cup coconut sugar
1 mashed banana
3 tbs. unsweetened cocoa powder
½ tsp. baking soda
¼ tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
½ tsp. rum extract
¼ tsp. salt
1 tbs. dark chocolate chips (optional)
AND … LOVE☺
How to make:
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8 baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: In a bowl mix the eggs with salt and stir well. Add cashew butter, coconut sugar, mashed banana, vanilla extract, rum extract and cinnamon, baking soda and baking powder and continue to stir until a creamy mixture is obtained.
Step 3: Pour the creamy mixture into the baking sheet and bake for approx. 20 minutes.
Step 4: Allow it to cool completely before slicing.
Step 5: Enjoy a guilt-free delish and satisfy your sweet tooth and chocolate craving without the unnecessary calories and inflammatory flour!
